Event Barcelona WWC: WWF/CI/TNC/IUCN Water Pavilion events

Two dialogue sessions will take place at the Water Pavilion, during the 2008 WORLD CONSERVATION CONGRESS:

  • Advancing freshwater biodiversity conservation - A Motion to the Congress, co-hosted by Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy, and WWF

Friday, 10 October 2008, 11:00-12:00.

  • Steal for it, Shoot for it or Sign for it-the stark choices ahead for the world's shared waters. Around the globe, water disputes are burgeoning and climate change will make more countries fight over shared river systems. But Water Wars are a preventable and potentially curable global disease. Conservation International, IUCN, and WWF present Prof. Timothy Flannery and Ms. Flavia Rocha loures to give an entertaining and challenging scenario session.

Friday, 10 October 2008, 17:00-18:00.
