Event A Cruise to MED Future: MED Annual Event - Evénement Annuel MED

SEVEN years of transnational cooperation in the Mediterranean area, materialized in 144 colorfully mixed projects producing manifold results in various working fields. From innovation and entrepreneurship, energy efficiency, natural resources protection and valorization, multimodal transport and territorial accessibility to maritime safety: an itinerary on sustainable territorial development.

The map of our cruise to the MED future: we shall find out what has concretely been produced, how to access it and use it. These results in our suitcases, were they worth the resources and efforts invested? What is available to transfer and (re)use those results? And finally, what will follow next, which new developments shall be initiated, how will future cooperation funds be invested, with the new programming period starting only next year?

First Day’s span

  • Key milestones during the programme evolution and current state of the art;
    Concrete outputs in key working fields presented by project partners, project observers and end users;
  • Individual results’ presentations and networking possibilities (side programme with contributions from the MED projects’ world);

Second Day’s span

  • Representatives of the MED Task Force, in charge of preparing the upcoming programming period, will present what is currently being discussed and developed. They will debate their perspectives and intentions together with representatives from the European Commission, MED stakeholders and representatives from the MED projects’ world;
  • More coordination and complementarity with neighboring programmes in the Mediterranean area and beyond: a clear must, but how can we concretely get there? Rise your voice and contribute in the ‘Agora’!

The plenary sessions will be simultaneously translated into: English, French and Portuguese.

Ce moment sera d'une importance particulière puisqu'il permettra de mesurer le chemin accompli et les résultats obtenus par le programme depuis 2007, et de tracer les grandes lignes des orientations en préparation pour la période 2014-2020.
