The ISWA World Congress is one of the world's most important congresses in the field of waste management. From 7-11 October 2013, Vienna expects up to 1,000 experts, decision makers and visitors from around the world. The congress is organized by the City of Vienna – MA 48– in cooperation with the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA).

The congress offers you the opportunity to attend scientific presentations, to visit the poster exhibition and company booths, and to take tours of modern companies in order to update your knowledge on the latest trends and developments in waste management. This event provides you with the perfect setting for knowledge exchange, as well as maintaining contacts and establishing new ones.

With the ISWA World Congress from 7-11 October 2013, Vienna will take center stage in the international solid waste management industry.

The five congress days at a glance:

• Three days of scientific presentations in up to 8 auditoriums and a poster session.
• Language: English and German with additional simultaneous intepreters in up to 5 languages according to the number of attendees in the Plenary Hall. English in all other conference rooms.
• Numerous networking opportunities: lunch and coffee breaks, gala dinner and farewell cocktail
• In addition you can book either a one-day technical tour (Vienna and surroundings) or a two-day technical tour (northern and southern Austria)
