Hungarian offer for the frame for better vulnerability assessment: ENV.2007.1.3.3.3. Investigating Europe’s risk from droughts
This is the hungarian offer for the frame for better vulnerability assessment: "ENV.2007.1.3.3.3. Investigating Europe’s risk from droughts":
Partner: Hungarian Meteorological Service (OMSZ)
- Connected activities: OMSZ still highlighted the drought vulnerability studies, mostly for the natural origin. Even so, the vulnerability assessment is a complex work containing climatological, pedological,
hydrological, etc. parameters. Our vulnerability investigation bases on temporal investigations (trend, return period, multidimensional approach, etc.) and spatial distribution, applies the interpolation method developed at OMSZ. This method uses mathematically established procedures applied for climatological purposes.
- Suggested topics: Vulnerability assessment methods, disaster mapping, impacts of disasters, drought
vulnerability, vulnerability trends, risk assessment.
This offer may interest all the research groups looking for partners in Hungary to present proposals for the FP7 calls.
