News Syrian Agricultural Database 2006 (SADB 2006)

The National Agricultural Policy Center (NAPC) is a body of specialized research in the areas of applied economics analysis of Syrian agriculture. It is a center of excellence in research, training and advice for the sustainable development of Syrian agriculture. The NAPC promotes the establishment of a permanent policy forum to enhance dialogue on agricultural issues among stakeholders and policy makers. Within its mandate, the NAPC is committed to build and maintain the Syrian Agricultural Database (SADB) series. The 2006 edition of which has just been released. This resource is particularly useful in the context of water and there is a section specifically dedicated to the representation of statistics on Land and Water use in Syria. The NAPC is one of the successful initiatives carried out in Syria within the framework of the FAO-Italian Government Cooperative Program. (FAO Project GCP/SYR/006/ITA), which has supported the NAPC since 1998.
