News The International Network of Water Training Centres (INWTC) has been launched

The International Office for Water (IOWater), with the support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Agency for Development have organised in Paris last November 21st, the constitutive Assembly of International Network of Water Training Centres (INWTC). The objective of this network is to organize the exchanges of good practices between training centres, to develop synergies at regional or international levels, to share training tools, and to create partnerships with various donors.

Twenty-five participants were present at the launch of this network in Paris, representing training centres from thirteen countries (in particular: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Benin, France, Kenya, Laos, Mali, Morocco, Poland, Togo, Tunisia, Uzbekistan and Vietnam). In the Mediterranean, such a network together with a regional data and documentation exchange system, a stakeholder forum, a prospective center, structuring projects, research networking will also be a key element for the setting up of a Mediterranean water knowledge hub.
