Software Tools: Aquacrop practical exercise and solution 
 
 A new Aquacrop practical exercise is now available on the FAO-Water website. The exercise tests users on their abiility to create climate files using the Aquacrop software. A step-by-step solution is also provided. Aquacrop is the FAO crop-model to simulate yield response to water of several herbaceous crops.

  The latest version of Aquacrop is now available for download on the FAO-Water website. Aquacrop is the FAO crop-model to simulate yield response to water of several herbaceous crops. Also featured is a new section on a series of Worldwide Aquacrop Workshops: “Capacity Development for Farm Management Strategies to Improve Crop-Water Productivity using AquaCrop”

Working paper: : The Rural Water Livelihoods Index 

The Rural Water Livelihoods Index (RWLI) attempts to assess some of the more fundamental, water-related components which influence rural livelihoods, and which can support rural poverty reduction. In this way it can help decision makers target investments more effectively, ensuring funds get allocated to where there is most need.
