GTZ Modernisation Programme for the Syrian Water Sector offers a work opportunity for a Financial Expert in the Water Sector

Tasks

Assisting the Water Programme in advising the Ministry of Housing and Construction, Water Establishments and other Syrian Institutions on the development and implementation of concepts, measures and training for improving water sector financing.
Special focus will be on cost-recovery of operation and maintenance, planning for investment and recurrent budgets and integrating economic parameters in business and project planning. Water Establishments will also be advised on improving accounting and implementing new accounting standards.

Job requirements

 University degree in Finance and Accounting or BA. MBA is an advantage
 At least 2 years of professional working experience in a relevant field
 Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of the German Language is an advantage
 Excellent command of MS-Office
