News Egypt: Water metering contract goes to Sensus

Sensus, which already has a well-established, productive presence in North Africa, has signed an agreement to install 28,000 MeiStreamPlus water meters in Egypt. The innovative Class C C&I meters enable intelligent use and conservation of water resources and speaks to Sensus’ commitment to resource conservation.
Sensus provides customers with capabilities and products that improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact. José Hernandez, Executive Vice President of Global Water and Heat at Sensus, says, “This contract with Egypt confirms our mission to provide utilities around the world with solutions that enable intelligent use and conservation of resources. We are confident that our state-of-the-art technology will help Egypt to manage efficiently and durably water conservation programs.”

Launched in Europe in 2008, the MeiStreamPlus Class C C&I water meters’ wide flow range and accuracy improves performance for bulk meter applications. MeiStreamPlus says its “advanced bearing and hydraulics design means it effectively replaces three former meter technologies, merging the high overload capabilities of Woltman horizontal and vertical meters with the low flow performance of single jet Class C meters.”

Sensus provides innovative and evolving technology solutions that enable smart use and conservation of critical energy and water resources. Sensus has been a pioneer in the discovery, development and implementation of new technologies for the energy and water industries.
