The Water Center for Latin American and Caribbean (CAALCA) offers positions in IWRM and WASH
The Latin American and Caribbean Water Center (CAALCA: Centro del Agua para América Latina y el Caribe, www.centrodelagua.org) is a recent (2008) initiative of Monterrey Tech University (Tecnológico de Monterrey www.itesm.edu), FEMSA Foundation (www.femsafoundation.org) and the Interamerican Development Bank (www.iadb.org). The Water Center conducts research, knowledge dissemination, consulting, and capacity building activities for international organizations, governments, industries and NGOs.
The Water Center is seeking experts to develop its activities in the fields of Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). More specifically, the center aims to strengthen the interdisciplinarity of its expanding team by recruiting profiles experienced in the social, institutional and economic aspects of these two fields. Depending on their profile, the selected candidates will participate in our ongoing River Basin Management and WASH in Schools projects. Additionally, they will play a key role in the development and leadership of initiatives aiming at improving water access for the poor (e.g. multi-sector partnerships in water supply; community water management; sanitation marketing…).
The positions are based in Monterrey, México and includes attractive salary and work conditions.
