News Final call for nominations: Stockholm Industry Water Award

Do you know a business that is managing its water sustainably? The Stockholm Industry Water Award (SIWA) recognizes the business sector's contribution to sustainable water management. It is given to any sector of business and industry. It acknowledges improved performance in production processes, new products and management, as well as innovative approaches in water and wastewater process technologies that together help to improve the world water situation.

Nominations close 15 February 2011.

The award can be given to:

  • Companies that have demonstrated excellence in their water management
  • Companies that have developed innovative products or services that have resulted in major advances in sustainable water management
  • Utilities that in collaboration with companies have achieved excellence in their water management.

Both external and self nominations are welcome. The nomination should describe in which way the enterprise excels in its field, and include at least two reference letters as well as material supporting the accomplishments.

The award was established by the Stockholm Water Foundation in collaboration with the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). It is administered by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI).
