The meeting is organised by The World Water Council, the International Forum Committee for the 6th World Water Forum, the Water Forum of the Americas, the National Water Agency, the Secretariat for Environment of the State of São Paulo and The Municipality of Sorocaba.

Around 80 representatives of the regional, thematic and political processes of the Americas will take part in this meeting. “The meeting's objective is to work jointly towards the consolidation of regional thematic targets identified from the defined thematic priorities in the region, that lead us to get SMART solutions that help meeting the targets identified at regional level, as the motto of this Forum is to work on the achievements of targets that lead to specific solutions, making it necessary for this purpose the mobilization and support of the various stakeholders involved in water issues.
Similarly, the meeting will focus on the engagement of several organisations in the region to the preparatory work for the Forum (WISE process - Wide Involvement Stakeholder Exchanges) as well as strengthening the link between the regional, thematic and political processes, for which the agenda will address topics on each process”, Roberto Olivares, Regional Process coordinator, Water Forum of the Americas.
