News IOWater has been appointed to animate the Europe Region Preparatory Process

The 6th World Water Forum (WWF), to be held in Marseille in 2012, intends to strengthen the role of the Regional process (one of the four preparatory processes of the Forum) in order to implement a participative bottom-up approach, where regional stakeholders will play a key role in setting their own Targets and finding their “Solutions for water”. During the 3rd International Forum Committee board (IFC) meeting on September 3rd, 2010, it was decided that a Regional Coordinator would be chosen for each of the 4 continents (Africa, Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe). The Regional Commission of the IFC has considered International Office for Water as most relevant to lead the regional process in the European region.
