Call for abstracts for Istanbul International Solid Waste, Water and Wastewater Congress (Istanbul3Wcongress) - [22/05/2013 - 24/05/2013]

Event Organization
Istanbul International Solid Waste, Water and Wastewater Congress (Istanbul3Wcongress) is organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, ISTAC Co., Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, Istanbul Water and Sewage Administration (ISKI), State Hydraulic Works (DSI), United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG-MEWA) in cooperation with the universities and the institutions between May 22-24, 2013 at the Halic Congress Center. The Congress will mainly focus on three topics; solid waste, water and wastewater. 

Target Audience
Istanbul3Wcongress aims to gather regional and international stakeholders all around the world, particularly from Turkey’s neighboring regions; Balkans, Middle East, Central Asia, Africa and Europe. The Congress will provide a platform for the regional and international stakeholders to encourage greater coordination and collaboration among policy makers, authorities, professionals, researchers, civil society representatives, private sector as well as operators of environmental facilities.

Fair Exhibition and Technical Visit
Istanbul3Wcongress will include 3.000 m2 indoor fair exhibitions and will bring together the private sector players, offering most up to date solutions, and central and local authorities. In this sense, the event will present comprehensive information on the best equipments, vehicles, projects and practices as well as the academic-theoretical approaches and scientific gains of many years’ works. There will be technical site visits to existing facilities of Solid Waste, Water and Wastewater in Istanbul on the last day of the Congress, May 24, 2013.

Political Meetings
During the Istanbul3Wcongress, ministries and local authorities of solid waste, water, wastewater and environment will come together to provide more political support. In this respect Environmental and Water Affairs Ministers International Meeting and World Mayors Meeting will be held in conjunction with the Congress.

Training Courses
Training courses will be organized in conjunction with the event on May 23-24, 2013 at Halic Congress Center and designated operational facilities. Within the concept of the training courses, problems regarding process selection and operation of Waste, Water and Wastewater issues will be discussed. A substantial number of participants from managers, investors and operators are expected to join the training courses.

Call for Abstracts
The Congress will mainly focus on three topics; solid waste, water and wastewater. Each theme consists of detailed topics. You can visit our web site for the full list of the topics. During the congress keynote speaker sessions and poster sessions will be held as well as oral presentations. Extended abstracts not to exceed 2 pages and written in English, are required to be uploaded to the related page on our website until August 31, 2012.
