Algeria: Call for proposals to support the fisheries sector

The European Commission has launched a call for proposals to support civil society organisations in the fisheries and aquaculture sector in Algeria. The call, funded by the EU under the DIVECO 2 programme which supports the diversification of the economy in the fisheries and aquaculture sector, seeks to support initiatives of the Algerian civil society in this area. The call priorities are:1. Consolidating the structure of professional groups2. Developing networking3. Promoting responsible fishing4. Encouraging and developing entrepreneurship and employability in areas related to fisheries and aquaculture. The deadline for submission of application forms is 18 September 2016, 16.00 hrs, Algiers time.
