Heavy rains in Israel

The storm system that hit Israel over the first weekend of the year was especially powerful, claiming the lives of four people. At least 83 mm of rain fell in central, coastal Israeli cities on Saturday within just a few hours, causing widespread flooding and forcing road closures.
