OECD Identifies Hotspots Facing Water Risks for Agriculture
A new assessment of agricultural water risks showed that if no mitigation or policy actions were taken, challenges could be expected to grow incrementally in areas like China, India and the United States. Risks were identified as those associated with water shortage, flooding, climate variability and water quality risks. Farmers, agro food companies, and governments are all named as key players to carry out the necessary actions to ensure that these risks are properly addressed.
