Water harvesting: subsurface dams vs sand dams

The Water Channel had the great opportunity to interview Erik Nissen-Petersen. He is an expert on water harvesting techniques, having 37 years of experience in the driest parts of Africa (see also www.waterforaridland.com) Attached you will find our publication based on the interviews we had. Erik Nissen-Petersen compares subsurface dams to sand dams and points out the advantages of subsurface dams compared to sand dams. This is a complete different view from what we heard so far and absolutely an eye opener for most of us. The interviews can be watched on TheWaterChannel as well.
